Emphasizing negation with "you"

One of the may versatile uses of 又 is to emphasize negation, giving your negative sentence little kick!


Structure

In this structure, we emphasive what comes after the 又. Afterward, we add a negative verb or adjective. This grammar structure is often used in an accusatory context.

  • 吃,你 随便。
  • 漂亮,你为什么会喜欢她?
  • 做错 事情,你 为什么 生 我 的 气?
  • 是 我 做的,看 我 干 吗?
  • 今天 下 雨,为什么 要 带 伞?
  • 是 你 的 事情,你 管 那么 多 干 吗?
  • 是 故意 的,你 不 要 这么 生气。
  • 下雨,为什么 要 撑 伞?
