Structure

In order to express "one of the..." in Chinese, "之一" (zhī yī) can be used at the end of the sentence.

Adjective + Noun + 之一

An important note to keep in mind is that 之一 can only follow a noun.

Examples

  • 她 是 我 的 好 朋友 之 一She is one of my best friends.
  • 对 我 来 说,纽约 是 世界 上 最 好 的 城市 之 一According to me, New York is the one of the best cities in the world.
  • 他 觉得 百事可乐 是 最 好 喝 的 汽水 之 一He thinks Pepsi is one of the best tasting sodas.
