因此 (literally "because of this), is a conjunction meaning therefore, and is formal.
For example:
- 她 在 农村 长大， 因此 知道 怎么 养猪。
- 由于 这 个 月 的 开支 太 大 了， 因此 公司 无法 发 工资。
- 韩寒 的 文笔 好， 因此 他 的 小说 很 受 欢迎。
