Structure
In this case, 何必 is often used to indicate the speaker's attitude about something unnecessary or not worth doing.

- 上海 的 房子 那么 贵 ，你儿子 何必 要 在 那儿 买 房子 ？.

口语中，谓语可省略主要动词，"何必"直接加名词性成分。如：

何必 can be used alone with 呢 together to mean "why?"
