In this article, we will look at the way 会(huì) is used to express a desire to do something in the future.
Structure
As well as expressing a learned skill, 会 (huì) can also be used to indicate that something will happen or that someone will do something.
Subject + 会 + Verb + Object
Examples
- 明天 你 会 来 吗？Will you come tomorrow?
- 今晚 我 会 去 饭店 吃饭。Tonight I will go to the restaurant to eat.
- 他 会 考 上 大学。He will test into college.
- 明天 会 下 雨。It will rain tomorrow.
- 下班 以后， 我 会 给 你 打电话。After leaving work, I will give you a call.
- 今年 圣诞节，我 会 回家。This Christmas, I will return home.
- 今天 晚上， 我 会 和 朋友 一起 吃饭。This evening, my friend and I will eat together.
- 下 个 月，我 的 姐姐 会 来 上海。Next month, My little sister will arrive in Shanghai.
