Giving perspective with "yaowoshuo"

要我说 (yào wǒ shuō) is another, more colloquial way to say "in my opinion" or "the way I see it." It is generally used to express a person's perspective or opinion about a matter.

Structure

The structure is very simple. All you need to do is put "要我说" in front of your opinion. Context will take care of the rest!

Examples

• 要我说 ，你 不 应该 去 。Yào wǒ shuō, nǐ bù yīnggāi qù.I say you shouldn't go there.
• 要我说 ，这个 人 不 靠谱 。Yào wǒ shuō, zhège rén bù kàopǔ.I say this guy is unreliable.
• 要我说 ， 这 是 个 错误 的 决定 。Yào wǒ shuō, zhè shì gè cuòwù de juédìng.I think he shouldn't divorce his wife.
• 要我说 ，客户 满意 是 最重要 的 。Yào wǒ shuō, kèhù mǎnyì shì zuì zhòngyào de.In my opinion, what matters most is to make the client satisfied.
• 要我说 ，你 应该 早点 做 准备 。Yào wǒ shuō, nǐ yīnggāi zǎodiǎn zuò zhǔnbèi.In my opinion, you should start to prepare soon.
• 要我说 ，这 部 喜剧 不是 很 搞笑 。Yào wǒ shuō, zhè bù xǐjù bù shì hěn gǎoxiào.I think this comedy isn't very funny.
• 要我说 ，这 件 事 谁 都 别 说 。 Yào wǒ shuō, zhè jiàn shì shéi dōu bié shuō.The way I see it, this is something we shouldn't tell anyone.
