If you've been working hard on your tone pairs and are still at the A2 level, then you may be ready to test yourself. The following three "Tone Pair Check" videos are all roughly the same difficulty, all though only the first one is in order.

If these are too easy for you, please see our B1 Tone Pair Check page.

A2 Tone Pair Check 1

In this one, the tone pairs are in order (starting with 1-1), and you are given both the pinyin and the English translations. (You do need to know your tone change rules, though!)

A2 Tone Pair Check 2

In number two, the tone pairs are in random order, and you are given both the pinyin and the English translations. (You do need to know your tone change rules, though!)

A2 Tone Pair Check 3

In this last one, the tone pairs are in random order, and you are given both the pinyin and the English translations. (You do need to know your tone change rules, though!)

If these are too easy for you, please see our B1 Tone Pair Check page.
