Pronunciation Tips for -un (A2)
Not all "-un" sounds are the same!
- We cover the basic "-un" sound in the "o" and "u" vowels
- The syllable "yun" is a bit different because it has a "stealth ü" vowel, and is covered in the "ü" vowel
- The other "ü" vowel "-un" sounds ("xun," "qun," "jun") are covered in the "j" "q" and "x" sounds
Both of these two different "-un" sounds will be practiced below. You need to be able to keep them straight.
Tough Sound Words: -un (A2)
The words in the following table are designed to give you a good pronunciation workout. Practice them on your own and practice them with your teacher.
