即使...也(jíshǐ) means "even though...still...". The first statement is a supposition, which is then disregarded by the last statement. Here are some examples:
- 即使 当 这么 多 人 的 面，也 要 批评 他。
- 你 即使 不 想 听，也 应该 假装 你 感兴趣
- 明天即使下雨，我也要出去爬山
即便 can be used interchangeably with 即使, and means the same.
Note that the clause used after 即使 must be hypothetical, otherwise 虽然 should be used.
