When you want to express that someone is in charge or takes responsibility for something, you can use the 由...作主 grammar pattern.
Structure
Area of responsibility + 由 + Person(s) + 做主
Examples
- 我们 家 由 我 妈妈 做主，她 说 什么 你 就 做 什么。
- 作为 商店 经理，商店 由由 你 做主，所有 的 员工 都 会 听 你 的 话。
