"从... 到..." (cóng... dào...) is a relatively simple pattern used to describe movement of a subject from one place or time to another.

Here's the basic structure when talking about going from place to place:

Subject + 从 + Place 1 + 到 + Place 2

Some examples of this pattern:

  • 请问, 超级 市场 银行 怎么 走?
  • 我 开车 地铁 站 学校。
  • 酒吧 酒店 有 多 远?

When talking about time, the pattern remains the same.

Subject + 从 + Time 1 + 到 + Time 2

Here are some more examples using this pattern when discussing duration.

  • 这 个 银行 上午 八点 下午 五 点 营业。
  • 星期一 星期五 我 都 上班。
  • 昨天 晚上 我 八 点 十一 点 都 在 做 功课。
