"From… To…" with "cong… dao…"

"从... 到..." (cóng... dào...) is a relatively simple pattern used to describe movement of a subject from one place or time to another.

Here's the basic structure when talking about going from place to place:

Subject + 从 + Place 1 + 到 + Place 2

Some examples of this pattern:

• 你 从 超级 市场 到 银行 怎么 走？
• 我 从 地铁 站 到 学校 开车。
• 从 酒吧 到 酒店 的 票价 是 多少 钱？

When talking about time, the pattern remains the same.

Subject + 从 + Time 1 + 到 + Time 2

Here are some more examples using this pattern when discussing duration.

• 这 个 银行 会 营业 的 从 上午 八点 到 下午 五 点。
• 今天 你 从 什么 时候 到 什么 时候 上班？
• 昨天 晚上 我 从 八 点 到 十一 点 做 功课。
