当中（dāngzhōng） means "among", or more literally "in the middle of". In English this is a bit like "of", where you would say, "of all of my friends, you are the most loyal".
- 你 是 我 所有 朋友 当中 最 忠实 的 一 个。
- 在 这 一百 个 选手 当中 我 表现 得 最 出色。
- 我们 在 讨论 当中 的 时候 又 被 打扰 了，下次 一定 要 找 一 个 更 安静 的 地方。
When used to express "among" it is a little like 其中. However we can use 当中 to say in the middle of an activity or process, like in the last example.
