Expressing "to come from" with "laizi"
来自 (láizì) is used to express where something or someone comes from. Its meaning is similar to "to come from" in English.
Structure
Subj. + 来自 + noun
Examples
- 我来自法国. I come from France/I'm from France.
- 这些观念来自哪里? Where do these concepts come from?
- 人们的幸福来自他们的关系. People's happiness comes from their relationships.
- 对女童的不公平待遇来自社会中存在的传统观念. The unfair treatment of women comes from traditional ideas that exist in society.
