Yidian and you yidian

Those two expresions differ in their place in the sentence, but also slightly in the meaning. 一点儿 is often used when compering, or expresing speaker’s wish or expectation, but with 有一点儿 one can express his own negative feelings.
Differences in the usage
一点儿
Meaning: quantifier (adverb)
Structure: adjective/verb + 一点儿
Meaning: Small quantity, Some (It is not an adverb, but 有 + 一点儿)
Structure: 一点儿 + noun
Meaning: Nagation of an action
Structure: 一点 儿+ 不/都 + 不/没 + verb
Sometimes character „一“ can be omitted
有一点儿 (有点儿)
Meaning: quantifier, unsatisfaction
Structure: 有一点 + adjective/verb
Meaning: Small quantity, some (It is not an adverb, but 有 + 一点)
structure: 有点 + noun
Meaning: Is not high
Structure: 有一点 + 不 + adjective/verb
