只要 (zhǐyào...jiù) means "as long as" or "provided", and can be used to express a result which has a necessary condition. The following phrase often uses 就 to form a construction meaning "provided X then Y".

For example:

  • 只要 人人 每天 都 做 一 件 好事儿,社会 就 会 变 得 更 和谐。
  • 只要 是 下雨天,她 就 会 撒谎 请假。
  • 只要 你 在,我 就 放心 了。
