Advanced numbers

• Approximating numbers
  • By putting consecutive figures side by side, e.g. 一两, 十五六.
  • With 左右
  • With 差不多
• 几 can replace numbers 1 - 9
• Putting 多 after 十, 百, 千 or 万 indicates a number higher than the one stated but lower than the next round number. Similar to 'odd' in English, e.g. "30 odd."
• Putting 来 in this position indicates a number around the one stated.
• Approximation can also be indicated by putting 左右 or 上下 after a numeral.
• Serial numbers are read out digit by digit.
