The particle 的 (de) is most often a structural particle, but it can also be a sentence-final particle which indicates that the speaker is certain about what he is saying. When it serves this purpose, it's expressing a type of "mood," and thus is called a "modal particle."
Basic Structure
The structure is:
Statement + 的
Frequently the statement will include 会 (huì) or 肯定会 (kěndìng huì) to emphasize the speaker's certainty.
Examples
Some examples:
- 我 不 会 骗 你 的。I won't lie to you.
- 她 肯定 会 来 的。She's definitely going to come.
- 你 这样 说 是 不 对 的。This way of saying it is just incorrect.
- 他的 房间 收拾 得 是 非常 干净的。His room was cleaned up very well.
