The particle 着 (zhe) is used to indicate the continuous aspect. In English, this is expressed with verbs ending in -ing. In Chinese, 着 is simply attached to the verb:

Some examples:

  • 我 在 看 你。
  • 我们 站 说话 吧。
  • 那 个 喝醉的 人 不停地 跳 舞。
