Expressing "as long as" with "zhiyao"

只要 (zhǐyào...jiù) means "as long as" or "provided", and can be used to express a result which has a sufficient condition. The following phrase often uses 就 to form a construction meaning "provided X then Y".

For example:

• 只要 人人 每天 都 做 一 件 好事儿，社会 就 会 变 得 更 和谐。
• 只要 是 下雨天，她 就 会 撒谎 请假。
• 只要 有 你 在，我 就 放心 了。
