"假使..., 就..." (jiáshǐ..., jiù...) is another way to phrase "If..., then..." in Chinese, with this pattern being one of the most formal.

An important note is that this pattern is usually only used in written formal Chinese.

Structure

假使 + [statement] + 就 + [result]

Examples

  • 假使 明天 下雨,我 不 去 上班 了。
  • 假使 你 同意,我们 立马 签 合同。
  • 假使 我们 能 找到 更 多 的 赞助,我们 就 可以 帮助 更多 的 孩子。
