“要我说” (yàowǒshuō) is another, more colloquial way to say "in my opinion" or "the way I see it." It is generally used to express a person's perspective or opinion about a matter.

Structure
The structure is very simple. All you need to do is put "要我说" in front of your opinion. Context will take care of the rest!

Examples
- 要我说，这件事先不要告诉爸妈。The way I see it, this is something we shouldn't tell Mom and Dad.
- 要我说，干脆私了得了，上法庭太麻烦。I say you should settle it privately. Going to court is too troublesome.
- 要我说，他就不应该跟老婆离婚。I think he shouldn't divorce his wife.
- 要我说，带不带礼物都没关系，关键是人要去。 In my opinion, bringing gifts or not isn't what matters, the important thing is that people go.
