One of the many versatile uses of 又 is to emphasize negation, giving your negative sentence a little kick!
Structure
In this structure, 又 is used to emphasize that something didn't happen or is not the case, or will not happen. It's most often used with 不 and 没. This grammar structure is often used in an accusatory context.
又 + 不 / 没 + Verb / Adj.
Examples
- 我 又 不 知道 。I definitely don't know (Why ask me).
- 你 又 不 忙,为什么 不 来 ?You're not busy. Why not come?
- 我 又 没 做 错,你 为什么 生 我 的 气?I didn't do anything wrong! Why are you mad at me?
- 又 不 是 我 做的,看 我 干 吗?I definitely didn't do that. Why are you looking at me?
- 今天 又 不 下 雨,为什么 要 带 伞?It's not going to rain today. Why are you bringing the umbrella?
- 又 不 是 你 的 事,你 管 那么 多 干 吗?It's not any of your business. Why do you care so much?
