会 (huì) has multiple uses, but in this context, it is being used to express the possibility of an action happening in the future.
Structure
As well as expressing a learned skill, 会 (huì) can also be used to indicate that something will happen or that someone will do something.
Subj. + 会 + Verb + Obj.
Examples
- 明天 你 会 来 吗 ? Will you come tomorrow?
- 今晚 我 会 去 饭店 吃饭 。 Tonight I will go to the restaurant to eat.
- 他 会 考 上 大学 。 He will test into college.
- 明天 会 下 雨 。 It will rain tomorrow.
- 下班 以后 , 我 会 给 你 打电话 。 After getting off work, I will give you a call.
- 今年 圣诞节 , 我 会 回家 。 This Christmas, I will return home.
- 今天 晚上 , 我 会 和 朋友 一起 吃饭 。 This evening, my friend and I will eat together.
- 下 个 月 , 我 的 妹妹 会 来 上海 。 Next month, My little sister will arrive in Shanghai.
- 他 不 会 跟 你 结婚 。 He won't marry you.
- 我 不 会 告诉 你 。 I won't tell you.
