Expressing "will" with "hui"

In this article, we will look at the way 会(huì) is used to express a desire to do something in the future.

Structure

As well as expressing a learned skill, 会 (huì) can also be used to indicate that something will happen or that someone will do something.

Subject + 会 + Verb + Object

Examples

• 明天 你 会 来 吗？Will you come tomorrow?
• 今晚 我 会 去 饭馆 吃饭。Tonight I will go to the restaurant to eat.
• 他 会 考上 大学。He will test into college.
• 待会儿 会 下雨。
• 下班 以后， 我 会 给 你 打电话。
• 圣诞节 的 时候，我 会 回家。
• 他 不 会 跟 你 结婚。
• 我 不 会 告诉 你 那 件 事。
• 今天 晚上， 我 会 和 朋友 一起 吃法。
• 下 个 月，我 的 姐姐 会 来 上海。
