会 (huì) has multiple uses, but in this context, it is being used to express the possibility of an action happening in the future.
Structure
As well as expressing a learned skill, 会 (huì) can also be used to indicate that something will happen or that someone will do something.
Subject + 会 + Verb + Object
Examples
- 明天 你 会 来 吗 ？ Will you come tomorrow?
- 今晚 我 会 去 饭店 吃饭 。 Tonight I will go to the restaurant to eat.
- 他 会 考 上 大学 。 He will test into college.
- 明天 会 下 雨 。 It will rain tomorrow.
- 下班 以后 ， 我 会 给 你 打电话 。 After getting off work, I will give you a call.
- 今年 圣诞节 ， 我 会 回家 。 This Christmas, I will return home.
- 今天 晚上 ， 我 会 和 朋友 一起 吃饭 。 This evening, my friend and I will eat together.
